From a young age sports and physical activity have been a part of Ryan’s life. This lead to Ryan attending and graduating from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) with a Bachelors of Health Science with honours in Kinesiology. This is where he developed a passion for using exercise to not just increase performance and prevent injury, but as a form of medicine proven to generate a healthier life. An internship with the athletic therapy department provided the necessary experience to ignite the passion for working with clients of all fitness levels, and helping them achieve their goals, get back to playing and leading healthier lifestyles.
He then completed a Masters of Health Science at UOIT, where he focussed mainly on the neurological approach to movement. Completing two studies, and presenting at conferences internationally as well as locally here in Canada. This is where Ryan also had the chance to teach university classes, as well as run lab sections for undergraduate students where he learned the details of movement and exercise as a therapy to successfully teach them to students. Ryan then completed his registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, becoming a Registered Kinesiologist. He loves to focus on functional movements, while still incorporating strength and endurance components to help anyone achieve their goals.
Outside of the gym, you will find Ryan on the nearest baseball diamond or attempting to play golf, as his love of sport has never faded.
