Olivia is a graduate of Queen’s University where she recently completed her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. Olivia is a very compassionate physiotherapist who wants to help you achieve your goals and get back to the activities you love. She is a strong believer that motion is lotion- and practices with an active recovery mindset along with using manual therapy techniques to help speed the rehabilitative process. As an avid hiker, yogi and runner, she can fully appreciate those who are not necessarily into a set gym routine, but enjoy being active in their own ways, and want to live, work, and play pain free.
Education is a passion of hers, as she plans to complete further courses on top of her Queen’s education during her time at Active Health Institute. While attending Queen’s she was lucky to complete clinical placements with all ages, and even had the opportunity to work with elite athletes attending the Ontario Hockey Academy in Cornwall Ontario, receiving training from a Clinical Specialist in Sports Physiotherapy. As an elite soccer player growing up, she fell in love with physiotherapy as a patient navigating through injuries and staying healthy and fit. She competed with her team to represent Newfoundland at the U-18 BMO Canadian National Tournament in 2010 where they finished in 5th place.
Originally born and raised in Newfoundland, prior to physiotherapy school she achieved an Honors Degree in Kinesiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Having a background in human kinetics and biomechanics make her an expert in human movement and individual uniqueness, allowing her to tailor rehabilitative programs to you and your needs.
