Health and fitness has always been apart of Ben’s life, participating in a number of sports including hockey, baseball, soccer and football. He pursued his passion of fitness and sport at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education, followed by a Masters of Science in Kinesiology at Brock University.
Ben is a Certified Kinesiologist with the Ontario Kinesiology Association and a Health and Fitness Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine. Presently, he is working towards attaining the Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification with the American College of Sports Medicine.
The focus of Ben’s studies has been on the science of health and fitness, including the science of exercise, movement, metabolism and nutrition. After completing his studies Ben gained valuable work experience at a cardiac health and fitness clinic in Waterloo, Ontario working with clients of all ages with cardiac, metabolic and musculoskeletal problems as well as with those simply wishing to improve their health. Ben very much enjoys providing the instruction, education and motivation to empower his clients to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Ben’s enthusiasm and passion for health and fitness are also demonstrated through his own personal and physical goals. He strongly believes; “if exercise were discovered today, it would be considered a miracle drug.”
